Man who claims climate change is a hoax says he'll go to jail before paying 'carbon tax'

A SELF-PROCLAIMED activist from Winnington says he’ll go to prison to make a stand over his belief that climate change is a hoax.
Daniel Whitton has refused to pay his council tax for the last six months – because of government proposals to introduce a ‘carbon tax’ in 2013.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has threatened him with legal action, but Daniel’s refusing to back down.
The unemployed 32-year-old believes ‘global warming’ and ‘the greenhouse effect’ are environmental buzzwords coined by the government to claim more money from the public.
“I’m speaking up for humanity,” he said. “Some people won’t be able to afford to eat or heat their homes if this carbon credit scheme is brought in.”
The initiative is aimed at mitigating the growth in concentrations of greenhouse gases.
Wearing a T-shirt proclaiming ‘Global warming is a hoax’, Daniel said: “Apparently I’m contributing to destroying the planet and I’m responsible for an ecological Armageddon!
“I’m withholding my council tax because I’m not happy with the service I’m getting. I know I’ll win if they take me to court.”
A letter dated July 13 says he owes the council £202.11 for the period of January 15 to March 31, 2009.
It warns that failure to pay up by July 20 ‘will result in recovery proceedings commencing through the magistrates court without further notice’.
But Daniel says: “I’m prepared to go to prison. Two weeks in prison would be a walk in the park compared to living under a global garden tax.”
He added: “I’m not trying to make enemies, and I’m not trying to bring about a revolution. I’m just trying to make people aware of an issue which could affect us all.”

Cheshire West and Chester Council to listen to peoples' views on climate change

PEOPLE in Cheshire West and Chester will be able to have their say on climate change.

The assurance has come from the top environment politician at the new Cheshire West and Chester Council, Cllr Neil Ritchie (Con, Broxton). Public speaker Daniel Whitton told a meeting of the full council: "Most of the people in Cheshire West and Chester do not believe that global warming and climate change are man made problems. Will the council provide a platform for the people in the area to present their case?"

"The council will enable individuals and groups to take part in its discussions", said Cllr Ritchie. He pointed out that public speaking time is available at meetings of the council and at other public meetings and the authority will also have local area working arrangements.

"We will have to consider many issues which will involve many groups and climate change is just one example." Cllr Ritchie said he was 'sure' officers and councillors will take the opportunity to listen to individuals and groups "who have a similar interest, albeit perhaps from a different viewpoint".

"It is not a case of providing a platform for such views, more a case of being prepared to listen," he explained.

I got a final letter from Cheshire County Council saying I had to pay 380 pounds before 23/02/09 or I would have to attend court to explain why I had not paid. (see letter from council below)Dear Sir Thankyou for your updated letter received in this office 16/02/09.

The Summons Issued 30/01/09 (copy enclosed) was addressed to the liable persons our records have listed as current occupiers of the property and relates to outstanding Council tax to 31/03/09 being the end of the financial year.The Electoral Registration Officer confirms your name on the register to be Daniel Whitton.

If you wish the additional name Freeman to be added to your council tax bill please confirm in writing.The other persons named are joint and severally liable for payment, if they have left the property, again I would need the confirmation in writing of the date they left and their forwarding addresses.

The regulations governing Council Tax were laid out before Parliament on 11/03/92 and came into force on 01/04/92. On the morning of the court date (the postman came twenty minutes before the case began how strange!), I received a letter back from Mr T Bennett the Senior Revenues Assistant at the Council.My preparation had included hearing advice from friends including my Bristol Freemen associates (Colin and Karl) a top secret London barrister, a local councilor and David Gerrish and studying John Hariss presentation Just an Illusion.

I arrived in court smartly dressed suit shirt shoes no tie with a posh notepad new pen and my bible firmly clenched in my right fist.As soon as I got to court I was ushered into a room with another smartly dressed man who introduced himself as Andrew Matthewson the court representative and Senior Revenues Officer for Vale Royal Council.I explained that my mother and father had given birth to me at Leighton Hospital and registered me, my father being the main witness.

I had then unwittingly become the property of the UK Corporation and had entered the Babylonian Universal Commercial Code a stock was created and I was sold on the London Stock Exchange.I then explained that I Danny Whitton, the human being was attending court as a third party representative for the legal fiction MR DANIEL WHITTON.I explained I believe that being a member of society I explained that I reserved all of my rights as a Freeman under Common Law.

I explained that I believed Vale Royal Council did not have the authority to demand such liabilities from me, a Freeman. I explained that Vale Royal Borough Council, Cheshire Police Authority and all other apparent government authorities in the area were in fact all privately run companies run for private shareholders for private profit. Andrew Mathewson eyes were popping out of his head, I don’t think he had ever heard anything like it in his life. He stuttered and stammered and looked lost for words. He was very polite and surprisingly agreed with me on most of the issues those that he didn’t know about such as common purpose

He explained that due to the recent amalgamation of the councils that he could be out of a job along with his colleagues and expressed his own fears for his future.He expressed that would send me a payment proposal within 14 days which I was entitled to pay or If I chose not to pay could lead to further mediation meetings and a possible court case.He was reluctant to sign any kind of bill and stated that he and his colleague who had previously written to me Mr T Bennett would also feel the same.

My view is if they really want the money I will insist one of them signs the bill but I believe they would not like to step out from behind the murky curtains of local government and actually SIGN anything they had created.So there you go two very scary letters with the gang motto letterhead resulted in two guys in suits in a small room talking about how much money one was prepared to pay the other, what a scam!I don’t know how far this case will go I have a nice car so I am not prepared to let them take off me, I explained I will probably contest these council tax rates as they are not lawfully authorized to take this money off me.

I will go as far as it takes me because I am always acting lawfully and demonstrating my right to politically protest.I advise all of you to do the same as me, it means you will have to learn more about the law and will hopefully secure your future from these robbing bastards. There are also two other routes I could go down as a member of a religious community or diplomatic status, I am deciding a colour scheme for my diplomatic suitcases and number plates as I write.

Each citizen would be given 4000 carbon credits (1 Credit = 1kg of carbon)
Every time you bought fuel at a petrol station, paid home energy bills or booked travel tickets, you would have to pay a certain number of credits from your carbon allowance (on top of the financial cost of your purchase)
40% of the national carbon budget would be allocated to the public. The remaining 60% would be auctioned off to be sold in a ‘carbon market’, for example to banks and other financial institutions, who would trade in carbon credits
The funds from this auction would allow the government to reduce the level of taxes in the economy
If you needed to buy extra credits or sell left-over credits you could buy them from this carbon market
The price of one credit would vary according to the market (in the same way that exchange rates for foreign currency vary).

“Therefore if citizens want more they have to buy them off banks and private companies and, as stated, the price of a carbon credit will depend on the manipulation of the markets. This, on top of the price we pay right now for everything.”

“Who can say that they will still have a job in 4 years?”

“Our Constitution states that the Council needs to: Represent ward interests by providing a voice for all sectors of the community; Promote the principles of equality tolerance and local democracy in local communities.”

“They are clearly not providing this service and are not looking after the future interests of the community – I will therefore not pay for a service that is not being provided”.

“Sometimes when you stand up you are seen as acting Illegitimately, unfortunately I cannot wait to be given legitimacy, I must legitimize myself.”
